Walmart-owned Sam’s Club tests a future without checkout lines
Walmart-owned wholesale retail chain, Sam’s Club, is testing a future without checkout lines in an effort to make shopping quicker and more convenient. This will be made possible using scan and go technology, whereby shoppers can use a smartphone app to scan items as they add them to their cart. After they’re done shopping, they can pay for their items through the app itself and walk out the door – all without waiting in any checkout line.
