Vulgarities, insults, baseless attacks: Trump backers follow his lead

Donald Trump’s supporters have adopted his approach of attacking his opponents and adversaries in the form of insults, intemperate remarks, and baseless accusations. This has been particularly evident in some of the pro-Trump rallies held since he became president, where many of the participants fueled by emotion have shouted out mean-spirited and offensive chants. Trump himself has done nothing to discourage such behavior but instead the vitriol has been tacitly endorsed by the president himself who continues to verbally attack anyone or anything he perceives to be a threat. The examples of such behavior have been a disturbing reality ever since Trump entered the public realm and continue to be the norm for many of his devotees.
