Democrats plan to subpoena wealthy benefactors of Supreme Court justices

Democrats do not have the power to issue subpoenas requiring wealthy benefactors of Supreme Court justices to appear before Congress and answer questions. Subpoena power lies with the chamber’s majority party, which currently is the Republicans. Therefore, in order for Democrats to subpoena wealthy benefactors of Supreme Court justices, they would need to gain control of the House of Representatives or the Senate.
