Tim Scott-aligned super PAC pulls plug on ads as senator’s 2024 GOP presidential campaign struggles
The Opportunity & Freedom PAC, an influential pro-Tim Scott Super PAC, has pulled the plug on ads in advance of the 2024 GOP presidential primary. The move comes as the South Carolina Senator’s campaign has faltered in the early stages of the race, failing to break out of the single-digit polling range. The PAC, funded largely by hedge-fund manager Stanley Druckenmiller, had spent several million dollars on billboards, digital ads and mailers to support Scott’s White House run. It is not clear if the spending was halted due to the poor polling or if the PAC’s finances had been exhausted.
