Judge unseals key filing in special counsel’s election case against Trump
On March 31, 2022, a federal judge unsealed numerous documents in a case concerning election interference linked to former President Trump. Special Counsel John Durham, who was previously appointed by Trump’s Attorney General to investigate the origins of the FBI’s Russia investigation, filed the case. The case is centered around lawyer, Michael Sussmann who has been charged with making a false statement to the FBI. Sussmann pleaded not guilty and accused Durham of making unfounded allegations to fuel political narratives for
