Costco cracks down on membership card sharing

In an effort to ensure that only active members are able to take advantage of their wholesale prices, Costco has implemented policies to prevent card sharing. This move comes as a response to instances where people were sharing memberships to save money on membership fees.

The warehouse club requires members to present their membership cards at the entrance and before making purchases at checkout. The cards include a photo of the member, and employees have the right to ask for a secondary ID to confirm the identity of the person using the card.

In
