Binance CEO Claims Nigeria Demanded Secret Settlement From Now Detained Binance Executive In January

Binance CEO, Changpeng Zhao, recently alleged that Nigerian officials demanded a secret settlement from a Binance executive who is currently detained in the country. Zhao said the executive, who was arrested in January, wasn’t released despite Binance meeting all legal requirements.

As part of his claim, CZ suggested the Nigerian officials sought a private settlement to allow the executive’s release. This situation follows a series of challenges faced by Binance in numerous countries including regulatory scrutiny, legal actions, and taxation issues.
