Fox News Poll: Voters divided over what US should do in foreign conflicts
The Fox News Poll shows that voters are divided on the issue of the US’s intervention in foreign conflicts. Forty-six percent of respondents said the US should mind its own business and stay out of other countries’ conflicts, while 43 percent said the US should intervene when its national interests are at stake or when there is an international agreement or threat of aggression. Eleven percent had no opinion.
The poll also found that the partisan divide on the issue is wide. Eight in 10 Democrats said the US should intervene when it finds its national interests are at stake, while Republicans largely leaned toward staying out of other countries’ conflicts, with a 56-percent majority saying the US should mind its own business. Independents had a split opinion, with 50 percent saying the US should stay out and 39 percent saying the US should intervene when its national interests are at stake.
