Target says it will close nine stores in major cities, citing violence and theft

in the stores.

Target is saddened by the decision to close these stores, however, the safety of our customers and team members must always be our top priority. We are grateful to the many team members and customers who have been impacted by this decision. We understand the impact on the communities and are committed to providing resources and support to help them transition. We are working to find new employment opportunities for our displaced team members, and we will work closely with impacted communities to determine ways to support them through the transition and beyond.
