 White House promotes Kirby to expanded role to coordinate national security communications

The White House has promoted National Security Council (NSC) spokesman, John Kirby, to an expanded role where he will be coordinating communications related to national security.

Kirby, a retired Rear Admiral, is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in the intricacies of national security. He held the position of spokesperson for the United States Department of State and the Pentagon during the Obama Administration.

With this promotion, Kirby will now be in charge of streamlining communications within the NSC and between the
