Newsom says Biden’s age is no problem: ‘I want a seasoned pro’

Democratic presidential candidate and current California governor Gavin Newsom praised Joe Biden’s candidacy, saying the former vice president’s age was not a concern. “I want a seasoned pro,” Newsom remarked. He went on to contrast Biden’s decades of experience in the political arena with a newer, “hyper-partisanship and kind of identity politics that sometimes has been the hallmark of the debate.” Newsom believes Biden is uniquely qualified to unify the American people and bridge the partisan divide.
