Speaker McCarthy met with Hakeem Jeffries and vowed to play nice after Pelosi called him a ‘moron’

Speaker McCarthy said that he wanted to work together with Hakeem Jeffries to ensure that both sides of the aisle could work together on issues important to the American people. He also said that despite the negative comments from Pelosi, he was committed to maintaining a civil tone in all interactions and negotiations with his Democratic colleagues.
