Southeast Asia’s Super-App Grab Joins Web3 Movement, Introduces Blockchain Rewards

Program
Southeast Asia’s leading on-demand services platform, Grab, has joined the Web3 movement and announced a blockchain rewards program to better reward its users.
The new initiative, called GrabRewards Points on Blockchain, will enable Grab users to earn and redeem blockchain rewards points when using the Grab app and its services. Points earned through the program can be used to redeem rewards from merchants, paid for services such as Grab rides and GrabFood, and exchanged for cash at select locations. The points can also be cashed out or transferred to other users.
Grab believes that its blockchain rewards program will offer improved security, transparency and trust, while also providing better user experience and rewards. The company says it wants to give users more control over their points by making them seamlessly redeemable across Southeast Asia.
GrabRewards Points on Blockchain will also introduce a new layer of engagement opportunities for its users. With the use of blockchain, Grab users will have access to a range of exclusive rewards from partners, such as vouchers and discounted services.
Grab’s decision to introduce a blockchain rewards program is one of many initiatives as part of its broader plan to become a Web3 platform. This move is also part of Grab’s commitment to enabling the creation of a shared digital economy as Southeast Asia’s leading digital enabler.
